Mytha is an app created to revolutionize the way mythological stories from across the Indian subcontinent are told. It is a digital publishing platform. It takes India’s traditionally oral art of storytelling, and condenses old tales into brand new 10-page books, which can be downloaded right here on your mobile device.
Varied styles of art bring a spot of color and a spark of life to each short stories, and you can even learn about the artists behind the beautiful images. Imagine how you read, or didn’t read, a story about how Durga Defeated The Demon or the little known tale of Anarkali and Salim, when you were younger. Now, let go of that and you’ll find a whole new way of seeing stories through Mytha.
The platform has been created to function as a bookstore and bookshelf – you can buy your books, you can save them within the app, and you can read – or swipe left to flip the pages and enjoy the artwork – whenever you fancy.
